Good sweep Boo.
I also will try my best to keep to our no politic deal with Floyd. I took PH's link as just having a little comic relief from the squad, the trillion dollar craziness, etc. But, just to settle Boo's curiosity, I would suggest googling brandon and see the explanation there rather than explaining it here.
As for the tags bloopers of JM, I believe that tags and many shows back then contained 'one episode characters'
like quiet Sam, Ed Sawyer, etc. They made for a good episode, but only a few characters continued on, such as Helen and Thelma Lou, as they were both 'runnin' with the main characters. That's my guess anyway.
As for Fleet's band, when they returned in the Mayberry Band episode, there was also no Jim Lindsay. Maybe he just left again! haha
And regarding the guy in the background, I'll have a look-see on my dvds and see it first
before I commence with a comment! :)
RO--we can do the same thing here with pri-ckly (censor) pear cactus. Just dig a little hole, put one "leaf" in the gound, and a whole new cactus will grow up from it!
God's blessings upon all!

Well, in July our washer died, and now our dryer went the same southern route!
Last week it started sounding like a B-17 taking off, then she got a high
squeal (probably bearings) and then she just 'froze up' and stopped spinning.
Like the washer, it too was pretty old, and one with a lot of electronal
buttons, so we opted to by a less sophisticated dryer with more mechanical
dials instead of electronics that tend to 'fry' the motherboards.
It arrived yesterday and working nicely so far.

I was up on the roof today, but my wife was watching me the whole time.
It was time to cover our 3 whirybirds that help vent the attic during the hot summer months. We have canvas covers with elastic bands that work quite well, pretty simple to do.
All for now, and
Prayers for all,

November 05, 2021 - Msg 117244: Good morning, porch! Bright, clear and chilly here today. The sky is a remarkably pretty blue, and not a sign of a cloud anywhere. That's okay, we got some pretty good rain over the last few days.

Well, I'm sitting here all dressed up and no place to go. We were supposed to play bunco today at noon, and the hostess' husband was in a minor accident about an hour ago, minor injuries, but enough that she decided to just cancel the bunco thing, and I think she's right. Her husband is like the rest of us, he ain't no spring chicken anymore, and injuries can show up later. She has her hands full with him as it is - his memory and judgment are not quite what they should be at times, and he is a very active, restless person, not happy unless he's going somewhere or working on some project or other. She never knows what he'll be doing when she is away from home. He's a retired engineer, and is always designing and building something. Once during a bunco evening at her home, he waxed my car, unbeknownst to me until we were leaving. Problem was, the car needed washing, but he didn't do that! I was afraid the waxing and rubbing might have left tiny scratches, but it didn't. He just can't sit still, has to be moving and doing something constantly. He's very talented, plays just about any musical instrument you could name, and has never had a lesson. Such a nice guy, and we all love him, but he's wearing his family out!

Well, Eloise just called, and we're going to our favorite Mexican restaurant and get some lunch. Hate to waste a perfectly good "out of the jammies and into real clothes" day. Anyway, I need to pick up 5 bags of cedar mulch from a garden center. My neighbor is retiring, is closing his garden center, and has no mulch left, so I'm going to the place he told me I should begin to patronize. Guess I'll do it, he wouldn't steer me wrong.

Blessings, friends. Keep looking up! --Romeena

November 05, 2021 - Msg 117245: Glad you got to go out and do something on this beautiful day, Ro. We have had a perfect-weather day here with low humidity, cool temps, and a beautiful blue sky! Bruce has been out cutting up trees all day and I go out and sit with him on his breaks. I throw sticks or ball for King and just enjoy this weather so much!

St. Susan and I are already talking about the thanksgiving menu (ya'll know how I am..always eager to plan for the holidays). I am going to get my turkey early next week because they are selling out fast here in our area. We will have the usual food and I will do most of the cooking, as usual. That's ok because I enjoy it and now our gatherings are smaller so it is easier for me. It has been hard for me to adjust to cooking for half the people I used to, though. We usually have plenty of leftovers.

Ro, when are you going to start putting up your tree? I know it takes you awhile to get it decorated. I am seriously considering not having a tree this year. Our 9 footer is not lighting up in places and it is getting old, hard to put up. I am thinking of decorating the mantle, putting to gether my Christmas village and just doing my usual decorations. I dont know what the family will say about it, though. I started looking at smaller artificial trees in the store (7 footers) with the LED lights that change from color to clear and I just cant get used to the look of the bright LEDs. They seem to hurt my eyes or give me a headachy feeling. I may just buy one without the lights and put incandescent lights on myself. We shall see. We have have decided to not buy gifts this year since we are planning a colorado trip at the end of December, if all goes according to plan. That will be nice, not having the stress of christmas shopping. I do plan on mailing out christmas cards this year, if we are still doing that?

I discovered a live stream channel on my Roku that is called Pluto TV and they show Andy Griffith all the time. Eureka! I am happy! Watched the miracle salve episode last night.

Blessing to all of you!

November 06, 2021 - Msg 117248: Good morning all.

Boo, no Christmas tree? No way. It just wont be right. That's akin to no fireworks on the 4th of July. Please, you must reconsider. :)

Romeena, the thought of polishing an unwashed car just makes my skin crawl. To have no scratches on it after he was done meant the car must have not been to dirty. I used to be like you described him. Go,go,go. But when a back goes south on you, well it changes everything. It depresses me, but then I have to rememb er my old saying I always laid down on my kids when they were feeling left behind on something. "I used to cry when I had no shoes, till I met a man who had no feet". Most of us don't have to look very far or very hard to see someone dealing with a lot worse.
Speaking of that, I'm sure you remember my neighbor, Rob. His oldest Daughter took her own life a couple of years ago. Then about 6 months later his Wife passed away. Well he has really struggled with things since then, including some pretty heavy drinking. Well he decided he just needs a fresh start and so he has bought a home in Arkansas. He put his home up for sale and it sold in 4 days for $800,000. The folks who bought it paid cash. A couple from California. So anyway, I hope his change of venue will be a good thing for him. I feel so very bad for him.

GF, I did what I believe was my last leaf mow yesterday. My tree's are now bare and my lawn leaf free. Helen is prepped and ready to roll. So I guess I am too, although this morning my back is being Helenish on me. Acting up for no reason. It beats everything, you know that? :)

MDC, Glad to hear your floor is holding up. One of the issues we had at work was if a bus was brought into the shop after coming in right off the road in the hot summer months, later when the bus was pulled out it would peel off some of the floor paint. The only thing we could surmise was the hot tires must have been causing a bit of binding with the floor paint which caused the issue. So we resorted to having the mechanics hose down the tires before pulling it in to the shop if the tires were hot. Glad you haven't had that issue.

Well it's laundry day today I reckon. Guess I will get it started and be done with it. Like Boo, our weather here the last few days has been perfect. Mid 60's in the afternoon. My plans are to work in the shop with the doors open and listen to a college football game while tinkering with some projects. That is if my back will cooperate.

Prayes for all for a blessed day.

November 06, 2021 - Msg 117250: Howdy, porch! Another beautiful day here. I've done a little laundry, tidied things up a bit, and am now awaiting the arrival of a guest. A woman in my SS class has fallen on hard times - nothing new for her, this has been the story of her life, thanks to a daughter that is about two bubbles off of plumb, and has bled her mom for resources for years. She has now managed to get disability, and has been able to get into a semi-assisted living facility, but it costs more than her disability provides. So, poor old Mom is still on the hook for "raising" this 58 yr old daughter. In my opinion, having known this family for 48 years, I have to say that I think some judicious discipline when the girl was young would have gone a long way toward solving her problems, but it didn't happen. She clearly thinks the world owes her a living, and mom is the cashier. She has some physical issues now, all the result of bad choices made earlier in life, and she's still doing it. Also, she's diabetic now, and doesn't give any thought to controlling her blood sugar. So, Mom has now been asked to vacate her apartment today, and has nowhere to go. Guess where she's going? Yep, you got it. Supposedly for two weeks. I hope she understood and recorded it when we discussed it, because I mean it. There's also a 20-something grandson in the picture, and he is not included. She says he has a place to go, and I'm glad, because knowing his history I will not have him (and his associates) wandering in and out. I may be old and grouchy, but I'm also able to foresee a problem, and I don't intend to have any more than I've already got. I'm not giving out keys that could be copied, she will use the extra garage door opener, and I'll change the code when she leaves. Prayers, please!

My bunco buddy's husband is fine, just a bruise on his chest, but his car was totaled. Yes, Asa, I was afraid to see my car in the daylight, after that wax job, but there's no damage. Poor guy, he's so hyperactive, never still, and will invent or create a project if one doesn't present itself. He's beginning to show a little cognitive decline as well, and is about to drive his poor wife crazy. She says it's like having a 6' toddler around. She adores him, and will stick with him to the bitter end, but her road is pretty bumpy right now. Fortunately, she's a very smart gal, with a happy, joyful nature, and she can handle it.

Boo, you pick yourself up and shake yourself real good, and get back on the Christmas train! You enjoy Christmas so much, just like I do, and I promise you, if you don't decorate, you will regret it when the day arrives. I don't know how your tree is constructed, but is it possible that you could leave off the bottom layer of limbs, thereby shortening it? Would that leave out the dark section? Probably not, just a thought. I would vote to find a nice new one, put on the lights you like (if you can still find some) and go with it. Actually, I know what you mean, I love those lights still, and had to get used to the LEDs, but I did, and now I like them. I thought they were too bright too, but my new (2 yrs old) tree has fewer lights than most of them, and that worked for me. It's green, with long needles and heavy, strategically applied flocking, and looks exactly like it should be standing on a hillside in Colorado. It is gorgeous. I almost hate to decorate it, because it's so pretty, just standing there in its natural state. It really calls for a minimal number of ornaments. I had two big bins left over - just couldn't find a place to put them that didn't look overdone.

Well, my "guest" will be arriving soon. I hope she will understand that food is not a big priority for me most of the time, and I will not be preparing big meals for her, or for me. I keep fruit, cottage cheese, regular cheese, maybe cold cuts now and then, Ritz crackers, Price's spread, peanut butter, canned soup, and once or twice a week I cook a real meal, enough for two or three meals and enjoy the leftovers. I've always liked leftovers. My mother was the Leftover Queen, and I learned from her. They're usually better the next day anyway!

Blessings, friends! Keep looking up! --Romeena

Hello all! I've been 'away' for a few days as my wife and I were helping
at our church's annual craft fair, which was on Friday, Sat., and from noon
til 4pm on Sunday. Of course, we did not have it last year, but this is the first
time that we volunteered to help; and we ran the bake sale table.
Nascar was also in town this weekend, but I have been several times, so this was quite a change.
And my goodness, our church members came thru with quite a variety of baked goods from cookies
to pineapple upsidedown cake! We had to mark and price items, and then put them out on display,
etc. By Sunday about 3 pm we sold out. We met a lot of people , including volunteer helpers
as well as shoppers; but whew, it kept us both pretty busy. Being retired, we got to sleep in
today!
RO--I hope things are going well with you and, shall I say, Aunt Nora.
One just never knows how such things will turn out. I pray that it will only
be the two weeks of which you speak, but I also know first hand that sometimes that
can change. So sad that the daughter has manipulated her so much that it actually came to
be what it is. ASA your 'quote' was right on! :) JM, you too about the vacuum; and GF
you three with the gargling! Good ones!

ASA, regarding the garage floor, ours was a several step process, and was a special epoxy.
We had it done in May that year, and knew that summer was almost upon us, so even tho
we were not suppose to park on it for 48 hours, we parked outside for 10 DAYS just to make
sure that sort of thing would not happen. Here's a link ... https://www.garagefloorcoating.com/

HI to Sarah! I almost missed you up there. I hope you are feeling better now. I have to get
my septum fixed, but waiting til january.
I watched the Pickle episode tonight on me-tv, and something just dawned on me...the only grocery
store in town was Foley's, so dont ya think Mr. Foley would wonder why Barney's buying 8 jars of pickles? Maybe he went to Mt. Pilot to buy them! haha Also, if Bee was such a good cook, why was she so bad at pickles and marmalade?? :)

All for now, but prayers for all,

November 09, 2021 - Msg 117258: MDC and GF. Man oh man, The Flying Fortress was a majestic and tough Bomber, wasn't it? I am sure you have seen pictures of those coming back after a drop in Germany, full of holes in the fuselage and parts of the tail section missing. Hard to think they could still fly after that, but they did. Proir to the building of P-51 Mustangs, they had to fly deep in to Germany with no fighter protection because non our fighters had the fuel capacity to do that. Those men knew they were sitting ducks, but they would still go. What a generation.

GF, Is John Glenn's Mercury capsule in that museum? Seems like I heard it was. If so would you mind snagging a picture of it? I had one years ago and I lost it. Those things were so tiny.

MDC, Yea, we used the epoxy paints also, several brands over the years. And went to great lengths in prepping the floor. There was actually a non epoxy product made by Valspar that seemed to me to be the best. But it was pretty harsh smelling. We would have to do it on weekends when no one was there and use respirators when applying it. Finally our safety and environment officer banned our using it. Said it was just to dangerous. He could be a real pain at times but in this instance he was probably right. I'd never tell him that though. It would go to his head and he already had to much going on there to start with. lol

I hope Ro is doing okay. Maybe her guest is hogging the computer like Ollie did the newspaper. I just loved Ollie's declaration of "I'm the Sheriffs Uncle" to the fire bug. lol

Well hope all is well with all.

November 10, 2021 - Msg 117261: You all are right. Im sure I will put up a tree of some sort and decorate as usual. I already found the cutest little fiber optic tree the other day, just for fun. Its only 2 and a half feet tall and is silver. I just couldnt resist because it reminded me of my mother. She used to have one about that size that she just loved and I put it out for her in her room every christmas. I put mine on the fireplace ledge for now and have been looking at it every night. It makes me think of her and that is a nice feeling.

Times have been a little rough around here. Erin's girlfriend moved back down from san antonio to live with her sister in corpus christi. I was very disappointed and of course Erin wanted to go right over there. I refused to take her, she threw a tantrum, I held my ground, and she found another way to get over there. I told her I am not going to do anything to foster such a toxic and damaging relationship and I dont need the drama. Yesterday Bruce came home from his usual follow up with the dr because his blood pressure was up and doc said his kidney function is suffering because of it. He started another med and I am just not going to allow Erin's drama here in my home. All I need is for Bruce to have a stroke. I dont know what will happen with her but if she chooses the toxic drama, leave us out of it. I dont mean to sound harsh and we love her, of course, but we are too old for this bull.

Enough of that. I sure have been having fun binge watching TAGS the past three days. Such a comforting feeling to just have it playing on the tv as I go about my chores.

I hesitate to mention this because Im not sure if I can get it done, but for about the past three years, I have worked off and on writing a Christmas episode of TAGS..or I guess you could say a Christmas story, but I get a little written, then get writer's block and come back to it months later. Its just a short story but Im not a writer so, while I enjoy it, it doesnt come easy for me. It is sappy and sweet, and probably not that well written but I am still going to try to get it finished this month and post it in segments during the month of December, if you would like. Hopefully you all would find it fun. I would like your help with something, though..I am including something in the story about Opie's mother and I am stuck on coming up with a name for her. Any ideas? What do you imagine her name to be?

I hope things go ok with your houseguest, Ro. I know all to well what it is like to be in that situation! lol Maybe it will be fun having a friend in the house for a couple of weeks. Does Trinket like her?

Better scram,
Boo

PS-while watching TAGS yesterday I saw the episode that mentions Tillie the Beaver (with the long teeth). Man, I wish i had thought of that name when I first joined the porch. So funny!

I hope so. Caregivers are needed very badly right now, and she could easily

Bruce's health should not suffer because of her antics. OK, I'll move on...
you DO have the Colorado trip to look forward to! :)

We found out today that the bake sale table made $2100, and the church's 20%
"cut" from the vendor sales made $10,000!!

Well, on Thursday we meet with our 'medicare guy', no, not JJ Walker or Joe Namath, but a man we have trusted now since we both turned 65. This past year
we had an RX plan thru WellCare at $17 a month, but for 2022 they raised it to $59 a month,
so he has been looking for another plan for us.
These are strange times indeed. In just a few short months everything has skyrocketed
in price, from gas to groceries! I heard today that last November, gas here was 1.99.
It is now 3.71! Yet those yahoos in Glasgow have the nerve to fly in 400 private jets

I hope everyone is OK. Hey to SPOT, NN, FRANKIE, BIG MAUDE, POSSUM, SARAH and all!

Boo, I very much look forward to your Christmas story. I suspect it will be a good one.
Sorry to hear about the return of drama by Erin. I know it is difficult, but yes, tough love sounds like the only way it's going to help. You have to think of Bruce's well being for sure. Prayers for you all.

Hey Ro, glad you checked in. I hope your situation is manageable. You're a good woman for doing what your doing. Hopefully it will be appreciated and respected.

MDC, My goodness, you folks know how to do a fund raiser. You'll be able to level the church, by new outfits for the ladies choir, and get a pool table for downstairs. Heck, you might even have enough left over to replace the organ. :)
Yes, it is insane what is going on with the prices of everything, and the supply chain issues. It seems we went from energy independence, to back to begging opec to increase production again in less than a year. What changed? It feels like 1976 all over again. Oh well, the people have spoken, so they say. Ha!

Romeena, so sorry to read about your friends passing from covid. That seems to be happening with greater frequency. Fully vaccinated people having the so called "breakthrough" cases. I mentioned a few weeks ago I had a friend I grew up with pass away from it. That makes 4 people I knew personally who has died from it. So depressing. I really hope the new therapeutic treatments they are saying will be game changers are in fact just that.

GF, I am in the markey for a corded oscillating saw for a project I am doing. Have you got any suggestions on reasonable priced but decent ones? I see Harbor Freight has a $29.00 one. I hate to go cheap for obvious reasons of quality, but this will not be an iten I will be using a lot, so I hate to go overboard. Any thoughts? (I must admit, in the midst of downsizing my tool collection I am quite aroused at the prospects of buying a new one though) lol. I need professional help.

November 13, 2021 - Msg 117275: Hey, porch! Just checking in - I'm OK, even played bunco last night. Just a lot on my plate right now - thanks for being concerned. Prayers are welcome! Blessings, and keep looking up. --Romeena

G-F, that link you posted in Msg 117269 made this veteran cry. And thanks to everyone who remembered our service and sacrifice.

from Poor Horatio, former officer in the US Navy and former officer in the US Army National Guard.

November 14, 2021 - Msg 117277: Thanks for checking in, Romeena. I am going to take your advice and decorate. Bruce is going to look for a new artificial tree this week. I told him to get a seven and a half foot one that is easy to assemble. It will be nice to have one that is easy to put up and I will use my favorite ornaments and not feel like I have to fill in the bare spots with so many other ornaments. We are trying to downsize in different areas to prepare for retirement.

Bruce tried the new med that the doc gave him for his blood pressure and it gave him a tightness in his chest so he stopped it. He will call the doc tomorrow and see what to do next. Right now his pressure is pretty good but when he gets to work that might change. He has been working outside cutting up trees and stacking wood and that helps with his stress. Erin is supposed to come home tomorrow, though, so I am going to have to make sure she behaves herself.

Yesterday St. Susan put up her christmas tree already because Emily wanted to decorate, so they invited me over there and I mostly just watched. It felt awkward because it seems to early. The tree looked real pretty, though. It's one of those white trees with all white lights and it just glows!

Im taking Erin to see a guidance counselor at our junior college in Corpus Christi tomorrow. It was her idea and she asked nicely so I will take her. She still needs to take the entrance exam to see if she will need remedial courses. If she follows through, we will drug test her regularly. Im not paying for any college courses unless she stays clean.

Well, enough of that. I hope you are all well and blessed. I think I will put my feet up and watch an episode or two of TAGS.

Sorry that I have been a bit awol lately, but I am working on
some new Christmas decorations, and re-painting some
older ones. I still enjoy doing it, and working with styrofoam
makes it pretty easy to do.
Prayers continue for all! Boo, your family for sure! :)
More later,

November 16, 2021 - Msg 117279: Good morning, Porch

Just thought I would drop in and tell you something that caught me by complete surprise! Dean Webb, the mandolin playing Darling son, is buried about 30 minutes down the road from me! I never had a clue or idea. Will be trying to visit his grave here before long. Pretty cool.

Take care

November 17, 2021 - Msg 117281: Just checking in. I have learned that it is very true that no good deed goes unpunished! That's all I have to say right now, hope to be able to get back to normal by next week. Prayers, please. --Romeena

November 17, 2021 - Msg 117282: Prayers for Romeena.
Trinket too.

November 17, 2021 - Msg 117283:

Hello all!
RO, my prayers are with you also.
(Good to see you Regis.) Lord knows we probably
have all been thru a similar situation. Oh, if only such
house guests could be more like Gloria than like Gomer!

In fact tonight's episode was about The Rock, Bloody Mary, the beast,
Warden Aunt Bee!haha This is a good episode in so many ways.
So funny when Otis is in his dilemma of staying at Andy's or going
back to the jail. Good lines all thru it all too.
Thursday night is Nurse Mary.

Hey JM, thanks for that information about Dean Webb. Quite a career for an
old "North Carolina Hillbilly," as the article states. All the best
to you and yours. :)

ASA, how goes the workshop clean-out? Did you ever have a tool sale?
Were you thinking of putting down some epoxy coating in it?
And did you get the oscillating saw?
I have bought a few things from harbor freight in the past, such a netting for
holding down stuff in my truck bed, but oh how I 'long for' the days of the JC Whitney catalog!
Loved that thing! ha

GF, what you been up to these days? How is the hip doing? Glad you did it?

BOO, I hope 'no news is good news' for you and yours lately.
Hope everyone is pulling their weight. From seeing FB, your decorations are looking good.
I got all of mine re-furbished now that I am going to put up
this year. My theme this year is "Hark the herald angels sing..."
And a Christmas tree lot opened up yesterday about a mile from my house!
Definitely getting in the spirit!

HEY TO POSSUM, REGIS, SPOT, MAUDIE, PH, CHARLOTTE TUCKER, BILLY RAY AND ALL!
Prayers,
MDC

November 18, 2021 - Msg 117284: Good very early morning, porch. I woke up at 5 a.m. with very low blood sugar this morning, got up and drank a glass of apple juice, which is rapidly fixing the problem. Didn't want to go back to sleep until I'm sure it's back to a healthy number, which it is.

Thanks for the prayers, don't stop. Supposedly, the problem will be resolved by Monday. If not, I will have to take steps I don't want to take. Unbelievable.

Thanks to all of you, for the friendship all these years. You will never know how much encouragement and strength I've received from you, starting with seeing me through the first years after my beloved husband's death, to the annoying situation I'm in right now. Though I've never met most of you in person, you feel like extended family to me. Thank you. God is good. Blessings, and keep looking up! --Romeena

November 18, 2021 - Msg 117285: I can certainly relate, Romeena. I have been in some very hairy situations with houseguests. Hope things work out as peacefully as possible.

MDC, I am not really in the spirit of things but have begun to do a little decorating. I find that as I get older it is easier to start earlier and take my time. I am thinking of starting the villages in the bookcases above the tvs. I started some prep for thanksgiving but making a delicious chicken broth yesterday in my pressure cooker. I froze that to use in my dressing, etc. I also made a different pumpkin pie recipe that uses cream cheese. I made up the filling for that and it is in the freezer so all I have to do is defrost and put in the pie crust and bake. I have already made my fresh cranberry sauce, too. I watched the weather report for Thanksgiving and looks like we may be in for stormy weather for thanksgiving this year.

Think I will go and start cleaning out the refrigerator. Wish me luck. lol

November 18, 2021 - Msg 117286: Well I did my last yard clean up yesterday and took the battery out of the mowing machine. So I’m ready to switch over to Winter mode I guess...

I started one of my Mayberry Auction projects, so far it’s going pretty good. I had to do some wood cutting and sanding so I decided to take it outside so not to have sawdust in my clean shop.

I tried to do that with some other of my projects too. That sawdust gets EVERYWHERE but not this time!...lol

Romeena... Good Luck with your houseguests, sounds like you got you a real Situation!...

November 18, 2021 - Msg 117287: I have all the fixins for our Thanksgiving dinner except for the pecan pie. I ordered a pumpkin spice bundt cake from Nothing But Bundt, I love their cakes. I stopped by my former workplace yesterday and picked up my Christmas cactus after almost two years. It looks a little puny and I doubt if it will bloom for Christmas. The coworker that was suppose to be looking after it didn't do a good job. Romeena I'll say a special prayer for you, take care of yourself. Sarah

November 18, 2021 - Msg 117288:

HI Gang, Ro, I also appreciate YOU for your friendship all these years.
I sure hope you get the whole situation resolved soon. Sure do misss your
descriptive posts of all the backyard antics! :)

In tonight's episode. I realized that the fence and orchard in the
background of Rafe's farm scene is exactly the same as the one in the Frankie Flint
episode! Ha, never noticed that before. Since Rafe's ep is after Frankie's,
maybe ole Rafe bought his out. :) Hey ASA, I once again smiled at
Andy's line of Mary's kiss being better than mule's nose! :)

So GF do you go from Grass Joe to Snow Joe? haha

SARAH, good to hear from ya. Sounds like you have everything pretty ready
to go! You too BOO, Freezing, now why didnt I think of that! LOL.
Keep well, and more later,
MDC

November 19, 2021 - Msg 117289: Good Friday morning all.

My goodness Ro, I am worried about your situation. It sounds pretty bad. Prayers continue for sure.

GF, Glad you got er done! Sad to see the season end, but time just marches right along.

MDC, I have noticed the farms are the same. Makes ya wonder. You mentioned your Christmas decorations. I used to go wild with hanging lights on the house. (I learned everything I knew about exterior illumination from Clark Griswold) but I decided when the kids moved out I didn't need to be climbing ladders in the snow anymore. So I stopped doing it. But I should do some lawn stuff like you were talking about. I mentioned that a while back but I never acted on it. I need to reform I reckon. I need to try and find some ideas for what I can do. Glad to see you are still doing it.

Boo, glad you decided to go with the tree after all. I was just shocked when you said you were thinking of not putting one up. I always enjoy your posts on what yopu are cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I miss the aromas from Debbie's cooking during the holidays. The aromas I create are not so good, unless you like the smell of burnt offerings. :)

Sarah, I bought a Marie Callander pumpkin pie last week. That's about it for me. Sorry about your cactus. Hopefully you can revive it.

MDC, The shop project is going well. My back has been acting Helenish on me this week, so I have had to scale back some, but hopefully will be back to it by Monday. No tool sale yet, but I need to figure out something soon. I hate doing garage type sales. You have already marked things down to dirt cheap just so you can get rid of stuff, and no matter how much you offer it for, some yahoo will come along and offer you less. I feel like hitting them over the head with it as I yell out "SOLD". LOL So I don't know what I am going to do yet. I never did by the saw. I was able to do my project another way. It took longer, but worked out.

I had my 6 month check with my Dermatologist. She said everything looked good. All I could say was thanks because she sure looked good. I thought about asking her if I should see her once a month instead of every 6 months. lol Very easy on the eyes.

Well off to fix some breakfast.

Prayers for all.

Asa
