April 26, 2012 - Msg 88380: Morning JM. I seem to be feeling much better today. I got a good night's sleep for the first time since I got this cold and while I have a little cough and still some congestion I am doing much better. Seriously, the first few days my left nostril was like a faucet. I actually would take Kleenix and make a little plug for it! Doesn't that sound so gross? I know its just nature's way of trying to rid the body of the virus so you just have to wait it out. Now Bruce is home from work with it. I knew his time was coming and he will take cold medicine and hibernate for a few days. I can never do that. Sleeping during the day just doesn't work for me. I would lie down for a bit and then get up again. With my sister going through what she has been going through it seems that as soon as I would try to drift off, she would call me and I am trying to be an emotional support to her so I would always answer. Things are tough with her family and now she has her grandbaby with her that she is caring for. I have been trying to get over this cold so I could bring mom here to my house for a few days and give Susan a break from that responsibility but now Bruce has it and I don't want mom to get sick. This cold chose a very bad time to be here! Seems like that's the way it goes, though. When it rains, it pours, so to speak. I am concerned for my sister. She is in her 50's and in good health as far as I know but she has had chronic blood pressure problems for years. She takes medicine for it but still, she has far too much stress and she is hard headed and reluctant to let anyone help her. She is always the one to try to do things for everyone else. Always has been...she is five years older than me and mothered me when I was little. She seems to take the role in life of caretaker of everyone. I guess we are both that way, truth be told. We seem to be the two people in the family that everyone looks to. God, of course is the one who keeps everyone on track, though.

Well, have to go...things to do. Thanks for your prayers, friends.

April 26, 2012 - Msg 88382: Boo - Well, good to hear you're on the mend! Do you have a sore throat? I will take stuffiness and blowing my nose every ten seconds to having a sore throat! Man! I hate sore throats! You know...those kind that hurt so bad you dont want to drink ANYthing and you clench your fist when you swallow? Bad, bad stuff! Your sister sounds like my mother. She's coming up 75 years old and is stressed to the max! She's in a depression, too. But the blood pressure goes up and down like a yo-yo. She takes her meds and listens to the doctor, but it still worries me to no end!

GF - Yeah, ONE win....they'll hit the skids again!

Have a great afternoon, folks! Drop by SONIC and get a big drink on me!

April 26, 2012 - Msg 88383: Thanks G-F and JM. :)

I know what you mean about those bad sore throats but I haven't had one about 4 years. That one was so bad it drove me to the doc and I was literally in tears at times. No sore throat with this cold, thankfully.

Well, trying to fix a big pot of stew to take to St. Susan's later. It sure smells good.

Sean is out leaving job applications. His dad told him he has to have a job in 3 weeks to help pay for his car insur@nce or NO driving. That really got him in gear (pun intended).

See ya at Sonic, JM. I'll have an unsweet tea with lemon and extra ice. I am still on a diabetic diet and will NOT use artificial sweetners.

Oh, and BOO, thanks for the sweep, and whilst your ill even!

April 26, 2012 - Msg 88386: Good afternoon, porch. I just love this place. Everyone caring and sharing - like a big family. I feel so blessed. Feeling pretty blessed as I look out at my back yard, too. Eddie came and worked his magic with the mowing and all, and it looks so pretty. The roses are just a riot of color, and the new petunias in the big island are blooming so nicely. I love color - I think I'm part gypsy.

Looks like the second week in June is the target date for my neck surgery. Not looking forward to it, but what is, is, and this must be done. At least I'll have a little time to get my ducks in a row beforehand.

John Masters, I had to laugh when you mentioned those terrible sore throats and Sonic in the same post. I've had that kind of throat, and they're horrible. A few years ago, I had one of the worst sore throats ever - like you said, I didn't even want to think about swallowing anything, and when forced to, it almost brought tears. Then I remembered those wonderful creme slushes that Sonic makes and it sounded soooo good! No way could I drive up there to get one, though - fever 102, hair standing on end, I'd have scared the poor carhop to death. So, I called them and as it happened, the manager answered. I told her my sad story, and she never missed a beat. Asked for my address and what I wanted. I told her a mixed berry creme slush. In less than ten minutes, she drove into my driveway, walked into the garage and handed me one, and refused the money! Then to top it all off, she called me the next day and asked how I was doing, and told me she would be here in a few minutes with another one, and sure enough, she brought me another one. I made her take the money for that one, of course. Now, how's that for service? I wrote to the Sonic headquarters and told them how lucky they were to have an employee who took "your friendly neighborhood Sonic" so seriously. Would you believe, they sent me a coupon for a burger meal. Some of us were a little concerned when that Sonic was first built up there at the end of the street, but they have proven to be very good neighbors. No noise, they keep the place clean, and it's pretty handy to have them there. In fact, I may just go get myself a burger for dinner tonight. Oh, and the creme slush? Went down my sore throat so cool and soothing, and after that I started feeling much better. The second one, the next day, finished the job and I was in good shape. I recommend them highly when you have a sore throat.

Well, off I go. Got things to do, but I hate to leave this window. Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal are so busy back there - feeding babies, I think - and they are so beautiful. I think God was having an especially nice day when He created birds. I have hummers, cardinals, bluejays, robins, mockingbirds, woodpeckers, cedar waxwings, finches, wrens, doves, and of course, sparrows. Those are the regulars, and there are a lot of transients that pass through. Goldfinches, Quaker parrots, redwing blackbirds, and others. Lots of traffic out there! I love it. Blessings, all. --Romeena

April 26, 2012 - Msg 88389: What a neat story about the sonic manager, Ro! I just love to hear things like that. We have a very sweet manager at our local sonic too. She always takes the time to ask how we are doing and she remember details about us. I don't know how she does it because we aren't there often, but she does.

Well, we need to begin to pray for that upcoming surgery now, Ro. I know God has your back (well, you know what I mean).

Went and took some stew to St. Susan's and happy to say her son was doing so much better. I think the Lord is giving him peace and strength. He was able to eat and sleep last night and woke up better. I think having his little Emily with him is good medicine, too.

Well, onward...time to clean the kitchen and settle in with a good book.

Ro, I'm sorry you have to go through surgery on your neck. I will amp up my prayers for a quick and uneventful recovery. I know several folks who have had that surgery and everyone of them have come through it very well. And I have no doubt you will also.

Glad you're feeling better Boo. And that Susan's son is doing better.

John Masters, well you guys drafted a big one for sure. He should be a monster for your line.

MDC, May 31st is it huh? Good deal buddy. What you gonna do with yourself now?

Well the morning temps here all week have been in the mid 60's. Had a storm roll in last night and this morning it's 38. Got a skiff of snow and some rain. Supposed to warm up to the mid 70's by next week though. Right where it should be.

Best get going. Another full day today.

April 27, 2012 - Msg 88395: Good morning , Family

And how is the porch rocking today?! Looks like rain and scattered t-storms throughout the day here. Temps are dipping a bit, but not too bad.

Ro & Boo - Wow! Your SONICs sounds great! We have the complete opposite here! They botch a lot of things, sometimes they are nice, sometimes it's like you inconvenience them, it's extremely inconsistent. Wish I had that "Mayberry" type of SONIC where I live! About a week or so ago, My wife bought a new bird feeding station that has three feeders and a small water bowl. Business sure has picked up in our backyard since then! We have mourning doves, cardinals, blue jays, robins, grackles, starlings, sparrows, finches, woodpeckers and a squirrel (who eats the seed spilled on the ground). It's a nice little combination to watch!

Asa & GF - A lot of fans thought Poe would be the pick. NFL Network's Mike Mayock was a little critical of him, but believes Crennel will pull out his hidden talent and get the most out of him. Pioli has a lot invested in the D-line! Tyson Jackson has pretty been a washout, let's hope Poe isn't! By the way, Asa, I completely forgot the Raiders are idle for awhile because of the Palmer trade. I hope, for the Raiders sake, (which I really dont hope because you ARE the Raiders), it is all worth it!

SPOT - Crossing fingers and best thoughts for the scan!

I'm sitting here looking out my window wondering if I will have to race the rain to get the lawn mowed. Better get cracking if I want to win this race! Y'all have a wonderful and safe day!

April 27, 2012 - Msg 88396: Good morning, everybody"! I hope your day is as beautiful on your end of the porch as it is here on mine. Just gorgeous, and lots of critter traffic out there. Such fun!

Thanks for all the good wishes regarding my upcoming surgery. I confess to being a bit nervous about this one, but I know God is in control. It has to be done, and worry won't help anything, so I'm just turning it over to the Lord.

Boo, I'm glad that Bruce's job situation has improved a little, and will continue to pray that it remains stable. Also am happy to hear that St. Susan's son is coming to terms with his situation. It's a tough one, and I pray that God will give him strength to get through it.

Spot, I'm so glad to hear that Miss Sherry is having some good days, and am so hopeful that the results of that scan will be good. She is on the prayer list in my SS class.

REV, you're making me hungry with the talk about boiled peanuts. I love 'em! New crop, of course. Old crop just isn't the same, not very good. My son got me started on them when we took a Seadoo trip on some rivers in Florida - but I think I've told y'all that story. Sure was fun, and we left a trail of boiled peanut shells. Not littering, as the turtles will eat them.

Well, I need to go to the bank - I think I've got $3 in my wallet! Got a few more little errands to run, and then home for a nap before going to work tonight. Blessings, y'all! --Romeena

Lucy, seems like this past winter season, we have been lucky enough to be on the mild side of the border of any Nor'easter storm. I never had to use the snow-blower. And I only had to hand shovel just three times. The other times we had light snow, I allowed the afternoon sun to melt it within hours.

Boo, when you mentioned your head feels like it is in a barrel, why did I feel like singing "From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli .... "?
HINT: Remember the TAGS episode when Gomer joins the Marines and Sgt. Carter makes him place a bucket over his head? That's when Gomer sings the Marine Corps Hymn.

auh2o, that's a problem I'm trying to get used to living here so close to an international border and receiving television from both sides. When I see certain advertisements that interest me, they usually are being offered across the border.

Well, they had to stop the chemo because it was making her too ill. They went ahead and did the mastectomy and things went so well that the next morning she was up and feeling wonderful and has been for days now. I haven't heard her so happy in a year. She tells me its a miracle and I know God is at work helping her. I can't tell you how happy I was as she talked about the grace of God getting her through. Thank you to those who have offered prayers for her. She has been suffering so much over the past several months and just last month I thought she had come to the end of her endurance. I underestimated her and the Lord, I suppose. It hurt so to see her suffering and to hear her voice on the phone, sounding so happy, well, I just don't have the words to express my relief. Wow, God is good, even when things seem so bad.

April 28, 2012 - Msg 88404: Wow, quiet day here on the porch. I've been to busy to check in at its 8pm now. Having mom here is a bit more trying but not as hard as I thought it would be. She is trying to do as much for herself as she can but unfortunately, that isn't alot. She has enjoyed sharing Erin's room with her and being around all of us. Of course her favorite place to spend her time seems to be in Bruce's favorite recliner but he is taking it pretty well. ;)

G-F, I had to have a show down with Bernie the rooster today. He was refusing to get back into his coop. I finally gave up and let Bruce do it. He wasn't aggressive with me at all, just wouldn't go where i wanted him to. I tell you, I love to watch that rooster. He is huge and just beautiful and I like seeing him put his head up high and crow. He is kind of awesome as far as roosters go...black with a green sheen to his feathers and a bright red comb on his head. Impressive. Sorry if I go on about Bernie but I guess kind of like some of you like to talk about your dogs, I like to brag about my rooster. ;)

Made a big pan of lasagna today to feed my family and St. Susan's and made a loaf of wheat bread. Did lots of laundry and so on and so on. Now I am ready to collapse somewhere. I have to tell you I felt so good after finally getting over that terrible cold that i have been unstoppable the last couple of day and loving it. Time to take a rest, though.

Maybe I will get Erin to watch some TAGS with me when the neighbor kids go home.

April 28, 2012 - Msg 88405: Good evening, porch. Got home from work, fell into bed and slept a few hours, then got up and went with Eloise to watch one of our grandsons play baseball. It was a double header - they lost the first game, but won the second one. From there, we went with Dave and Brittney and the boys, and another couple (friends of theirs and now, ours) and their boys - and had dinner together. What a lovely afternoon and evening. I love the kids' baseball games, and the fellowship with family and friends was so pleasant. Weather was nice, not too hot, nice breeze - all in all, a good day.

Boo, I'd love to see a picture of Bernie. A big old rooster really can be impressive, and beautiful. I love your stories about him, please continue to share them. How many hens are in his harem?

I'd like to ask you all to pray for one of my grandsons. He's not quite nine, and has shown some signs of entering puberty. His mother took him to the doctor, and after some testing, they have determined that his bone age is at least fifteen, and he has about another year of growth unless the maturing process is slowed or stopped temporarily. If those growth plates close, that's it. That would mean he'd be about 5'2" as an adult, and when they projected his adult height when he was two, it indicated he would be about 6'6". Now, would it be the end of the world if he never gets tall? Of course not. The problem here is - what's causing this premature puberty? There are several possibilities, most of which involve the presence of a tumor somewhere, either benign or malignant. It could be in the pituitary, or the adrenal glands, or it could be gonadal. So, some very heavy-duty, precise testing is planned to determine exactly what's causing this, and once that is known, then a treatment plan will follow. Of course, his parents are scared to death, as is Eloise, and I'm trying to hold onto reason and "wait and see." It's hard. This is our beautiful Hudson, one of the ball players, and the sweetest, most loving little guy you could imagine. So please, friends, please pray for him, that a quick answer will be found, that it will be treatable, and that all will be well for this child. Thank you!

Now, I think I'm going to go have a talk with the Father about it all, and then I'm going to bed and get some sleep. Blessings, friends! --Romeena

J.M. I had read Pioli may be in trouble. The entire AFC West has been kinda timid the last few years, and I don't think that's sitting well with any of the owners. I know expectations in Denver are a mile high (pun intended) for this season. But often times high expectations just don't materialize. Case in point, the "Dream Team" Phil. Eagles of last season. I'm hoping of a repeat of that in Denver this year, and would be delighted if the Silver and Black had a hand in it! ha! (I know, wishful thinking)

April 30, 2012 - Msg 88416: Good morning, Porch family

Well, got some bad news from my neighborhood. A private church school, just a block from my house, got absolutely cleaned out by thieves last night! They vandalized the place by knocking out windows and other various acts, but stripped the place of just about everything that had a cord attached to it! Tvs, computers, radios, etc. From what I gathered from what my wife just said about the news report, it just got wiped out internally! The thing that raises MY eyebrow is that this church / school is in somewhat of a residential area. Either everyone sleeps with fans on at night or some people just turned a deaf ear and blind eye. As I said, the vadals broke out a bunch of windows! Dontcha think SOMEone would have heard SOMEthing?

Also, I have ran into a big problem with my Quantrill project in Arkansas. Seems I have goofed in trying to get some really neat pictures up that will surround the collection. I have misjudged measurements and I cant get down there in advance to get things straightened out. I will have to do it either the night I get in town or the morning we open the collection. There's a lot more goin' on right now, but I'll save it or else this will go into one long pity entry.

MDC - Looks like you got that retirement down pat. Next, it's goin' home....take a nap....and go over to Thelma Lou's for tv. LOL!

April 30, 2012 - Msg 88417: Morning porch, stopping by for a check point chickie. Hope everyone is doing okay.

been a busy few days on my end of the porch. Beth had her senior prom Saturday night. She looked beautiful and a good time was had by all. As many of you all know, it is a time consuming
process for one evening but she seemd to enjoy it and it is a special milestone in her life. Her honors night in the 14th of May with graduation being May 26th.

Patrick is coming home the end of this week and will be home for the next school year. He starts a co-op job May 7th and will work that until June of next year. He will go back to school Fall of 2013 to finish out his Engineering Degree. He will be working for a company called Maule in their engineering department. Apparently they make pistons for disel engines. It is close enough home they he can commute.

Please pray for Mr. Maude. He has an appointment at the Wound Care Center at our local hospital. He began taking Warfin for some time for A. Fib and not long after, the bottom portion of both legs began getting discolored. The skin is very thin and fragile and any time he bumps them againist anything, the skins tears and make a sore. That is the only part of him that this has happended to. They are slow healing so our doctor is sending him to the woumd care center and is doing a full blood work up. She says she does not think it is a ciculation problem as he has a great pulse in both legs. He says they do not hurt at all. I have no idea what is going on. Thanks for your prayers.

Lunch menu will be: tuna fish salad sandwhiches, chips, brownines.

Looks like I wrote a book! Sorry about that.
Prayers and blessings to all.
Big Maude

April 30, 2012 - Msg 88419: Prayers for Miss Sherry and Spot at this very moment. Lord, please put your healing hand on Sherry, ease the reaction to the drugs but strengthen their effect on her. Give her patience and strength, and courage for the battle. Stand beside our friend Spot, as he waits with her there. We would be there with them if we could but your Presence is infinitely better. Encourage both of them, and give them peace. Amen. --Romeena

Went to Olive Garden Sat. eve, and my goodness, it was Prom City there with all the pre-prom dinner dates! Only prob was many WAY too short dresses IMHO.
I tried a new pomegranate drink that they had and it was good. Rev, I know you go there, I suggest that you give it a pass thru the ole lips and gums.
have a good week all!

April 30, 2012 - Msg 88424: Maude, my husband gets the same thing in his legs. He has been going to our local wound clinic here, off and on for about 10 years. (as needed). He has to be really careful, especially in the summer when he's wearing lighter clothing. If he smacks his shin, or ankle on something then the skin breaks open and it takes forever to heal. He is on blood thinners too. And he has type 2 diabetes as well. I think in his case it's a combination of the 2 things that makes his skin so thin. But those wound clinics are miracle workers; they'll fix up Mr. Maude I'm sure.
I am ready to retire too, MDC. Very tired of my job. But alas, I'm much too young (I'm in my 40's and I admit it)
Thanks for asking about my mom, Asa. She is getting better, I think. Starting to have a little more energy, which that in itself helps a lot. She just has so many pain issues, and she's allergic to so many drugs, that many times she just has to sit and suffer, with her icepacks or hotpacks. I've definitley reached that age that they all predicted us baby boomers would; where we still need to work, yet have elderly parents to take care of. At least I only babysit my granddaughter; imagine what it is like for some folks who have elderly parents they are taking care of, but their adult kids are sick or on drugs or something and they also are taking care of their grandchildren. I'd be a basket case!
Well, 10-4

Howdy porch family....Had a great weekend of concerts....Praise the Lord!

MDC....I'll have to try the new drink at Olive Garden.

Hazel.....glad to hear your mom doing better. We continue to pray.

You all may remember me telling you of a pastor friend who's 92 year old mother died in a house fire the other week.....Ro posted that she just hoped that she died before the fire reached her...well my friend told me today that all reports show that she was standing too close to a gas heater and her pajamas caught on fire. So she acually was on fire before the house caught on fire. So terrible.

Prayers for Ro's grandson, Miss Sherry, Mr Maude and all our porch family!

May 01, 2012 - Msg 88428: Oh my! Oh, Spot, that's just wonderful news! Thank you so much for sharing it. Our God can do exceedingly wonderful things. This just makes my day.

Prayers for Mr. Maude, that those leg ulcers will get healed up, and soon! I've seen so many of those things over the years, and they can be very hard to deal with. I'm glad you've got him in a wound care clinic - they truly can do wonders.

Hazel, I'm glad your mom is improving. After being my dad's main resource for the last several years of his life, I have a good understanding of what you're dealing with. It can be a real challenge, but believe me, when it's all over, you will look back and thank God for the opportunity to be of service to your mother.

Well, I'd better get to bed. It was a long shift last night, and I've got an appointment to deal with an ingrown toenail this afternoon, so I'd better get a few hours sleep. This miserable nail is dug in very deeply, curved under on both sides and almost forming a tube near the end of my toe. I really don't know how the doc is going to fix it, but that's his problem. I'm just tired of it being so tender and sore, and I want it fixed.

Blessings, y'all! --Romeena

I watched the ep last night where barney sends Andy and Helen to the lake for a day off, and except for the relief of seeing Howard Morris (Ernest T) as a TV repairman, the ep is pretty dumb IMHO! As I sat and watched, I thought "Man, Barney is worse than Warren!" (in this ep) haha

May 01, 2012 - Msg 88438: BARN DANCE! (whoever suggested it above). Time to celebrate! Who's bringing the meatballs and who's bringing the squeezins? We're a gonna dance till our socks is hot and ravelin'!

Been a good day, hasn't it? :)

Well, things are still crazy here on the funny farm. Bernie has started hopping the fence with his girlfriend, Skippy and they have taken to our back porch. All day long Bernie looked through my windows looking for a handout. Crazy bird! He is behaving himself, though and hasn't attacked anyone lately.

Wish we could all meet on someone's front porch and spend the evening together. Wouldn't that be great on this beautiful spring night? I could make a big pitcher of lemonade (the real kind) and we could sing songs and tell stories. Sure would be nice tonight.

Oh well, I guess we are together in spirit.

May 01, 2012 - Msg 88439: G-F, I thought about you the other day. I was watching a show about Amish people and this girl grabbed a chicken from the coop, laid its head on the ground and place a piece of rebar on its neck. She stood on the rebar while holding the chicken's feet and "POP" she pulled up real hard on the chicken and off came his head in a split second. She tossed the body away a couple of yard until it stopped flopping around and she said some days she kills a hundred that way! Wow and I though Texas women were tough.

TOM, Those people over in Cleveland are NUTs! no wonder ya wanted to get away from there!
The bridge went over the Cuyahoga Valley Nature Perserve around Penninsula & the Boston Mills.
I used to go under that bridge all the time they have a very nice bike trail that goes from Akron all the way to Cleveland along the old Erie Canal
That bridge is a very big & tall one..NUTS, They are NUTS!.....Speaking of Cleveland, the news said last night the only survivor from the Cracker Barrel shooting the (10yr.old girl) is finall showing some signs of improvement they took her off the ventalator yesterday and she is breathing on her own now....

May 02, 2012 - Msg 88444: Eeewwww! I'm a Texas woman, and in many ways I guess I'm pretty tough, but I could not, could NOT kill a chicken like that. Or any other way, for that matter. It's just not in my soul to kill an innocent creature. I know, I'm a flaming hypocrite, because I buy meat from the supermarket and eat it, and I'm well aware it didn't arrive on this earth on a little styrofoam tray, but I can't help it. I just could not wield the axe, or yank the neck, or pull the trigger. It's not in me. If someone brings me a package of venison, I'll eat it, but I could not shoot the deer. That may sound strange from someone with a loaded .45 on their bedside table, but it makes sense to me. The deer wishes me no harm, but if some hairy man enters my house in the middle of the night, he most definitely intends harm, and I will blow him away. I won't be happy about it, but I'll do it. There is an ADT Security sign in my yard, which should alert a potential intruder that I have taken protective action. If he chooses to come in anyway, he'll regret it.

Boo, that Bernie is a caution. I can just picture him standing up on his rooster toes, peeking in windows! And he brings his girlfriend with him? That's too funny!

Well, I'm sitting here like the village idiot, with a big, bulbous blue dressing on my toe! It hurts some, but not too bad. I haven't taken anything for it, because there's nothing I can tolerate except Advil or Tylenol, and I'm saving them for when I have that neck surgery. I think I'm going to need all the help I can get at that time, and I don't want to waste it on a toe now. Besides, the toe only hurts a little more than it did before the doc removed the ingrown parts. I haven't seen it yet, but have to remove the dressing tonight and soak it. Soak it a lot, I guess. He said the remaining nail is pretty narrow, might look a bit odd. However, he really wanted to remove the whole nail, and I chose not to do that. He said I would then just paint a nail on the bare toe from now on, and I just couldn't imagine that. I know people do it, but I'd rather not. I go barefoot, or wear sandals a lot, and that painted toe thing just doesn't appeal to me.

Well, guess I'd better get busy. This house looks like something has nested in here, and I've got the bunco girls coming Friday night. Guess I'd better start hobbling around and get it cleaned up. Would much rather sit at this window and watch the flock of goldfinches who have dropped by the yard for a visit, but duty calls. Blessings, everyone! --Romeena

May 02, 2012 - Msg 88449: Evenin' All,

Just finished supper and goin' to cruise the internet for awhile. Not a whole to report today. No goins on, no goins on.

REV. - Have a safe and successful trip! Did you have to audition for the mayor to get to go?

Ro - I am your brother in pain and suffering when it comes to toes! I had an ingrown nail on my left big toe and went to a quack (although I didnt know it at the time) to get it fixed. Removed my entire toenail because of an infection down through the edge of the nail. Forward to about fifteen years alter and the same nail goes bad again. So I go to another doctor who looked at my foot and said "You had your nail removed, didnt you?" I told him I had and the doc proceeds to tell me I didnt need to have that done. He shoots my toe up, grabs a scapel and removes the infection without even toucing my nail! He sewed me up and I was good as new. But when I had the whole nail removed, it was raw flesh under a thick gauze bandaging.

Asa (and any football fans) - Did you hear about Junior Seau? What an absloute jaw dropping development that was! So sad! My heart goes out to his family. His mother just came apart on tv and it was just tragic to watch. Such a magnificent beginning to a life and a horrific and heartbreaking end. RIP, Junior!

A good evening to Boo,Lucy,Maude and Mr. Maude,SPOT,auh2o,PH,Hazel,GF,Possum,MDC and the whole gang. Like someone said when talking about the tragedy of Seau's death.... hug your family tonight!
